Also known as a "cane knife." This is my go to machete for clearing soft brush, vines, cactus, etc. Much better than the standard sword style jungle machete for this use. It's thin, very light weight, and it slices extremely well. It works on wood (like small mesquites) and branches up to an inch or so in diameter, too. It has good reach and a very useful hook on the back for moving brush around. I suggest adding some tennis racket tape to the handle (on this and any machete). It's a good value for a tool you know you're going to beat up pretty badly.
